The free download comes with a staggering 3.2 GB of content and 3,152 sampled sounds, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive free Kontakt libraries out there. Originally released as a series of separate patches, ProjectSAM has recently amalgamated the instruments of their epic orchestra into one product which runs in the free Kontakt player 6.2.1 and above. The main differences being that Kontakt 5 Player has most instrument editing features disabled, although you can still edit parameters via the Performance View. The sampled instruments include various woodwind instruments, brass instruments, keys, complete string sections and a huge variety of orchestral percussion sounds.
